Overview
This is in my opinion the most underrated release from AC/DC and is filled with fantastic songs that may not have been commercially popular, but serve an incredible energy with excellent riffs and melodies. After a few releases where they strayed away from their Bluesy side a bit more and concentrated on a high energy rock albums, this was a nice return to Bluesy Rocker tunes. With a slightly darker theme and sound to the album, it is an interesting listen throughout, one that will have you pleasantly surprised with the direction AC/DC decided to take here. This certainly shows a more mature side to the bands playful and energetic releases that came before it. Everyone here is tight and completely on form with one another - one to not miss out on.
Recommended for the Bluesy Rockers looking for a darker twist of an already angry side of the genre.

It’s a weird album cover and I couldn’t love it more. The colour scheme here matches the darker theme of the album and the electrifying font of ‘Powerage’ is on point with the electrical energy of AC/DC’s name and music. It would not surprise me if Angus Young’s veins really were made of electrical wires to have so much energy.
